James Brown was a hugely influential figure in black American music. He was a driving force in the development of soul music in the early sixties, and funk in the early seventies. Get up
Get on up
Get up
Get on up
Stay on the scene
Get on up
Like a sex machine
Get on up

Get up
Get on up
Get up
Get on up
Stay on the scene
Get on up
Like a sex machine
Get on up

Get up
Get on up
Stay on the scene
Get on up
Like a sex machine
Get on up
Wait a minute

Shake your arm
And use your form
Stay on the scene
Like a sex machine

You gotta have the feeling
Sure as you’re born
Get it together
Right on, right on

Get up
Get on up
Get up
Get on up
Get up

  2. I've always thought this song was a euphemism for erectile dysfunction. Think about it; a man wanting to score, and yelling at his penis: "GET UP."

  3. You say it like music is good if popular music is good. Everyone of your examples are radio artists. Yes, your examples of artists in the past was also radio artists, but times have changed. The radio plays what sells, and most people in the western world today is sadly inpatient and want music that is easy to get into, or something. There is of course still good music around, just not on the radio. Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae etc. are radio artists you may have missed in your comment, though.

  4. Hyperkinesia, also known as hyperkinesis, refers to an increase in muscular activity that can result in excessive abnormal movements, excessive normal movements, or a combination of both.

  5. well, please advise. I do like some of the artists that BDfilms is "promoting", but it's really hard to come across something new, fresh and that doesnt sound like a few plucks here and there + some minimal and call it "oh my god, so awesome!". There are far too many bands/artists that try to be too special/unique sooo hard, that what they produce sounds whack.

  6. There is plenty of great modern independent music that are great as well. It is good that you enjoy the past but you can't live in the past. Music needs to progress. It can't progress if you complain about the top 40 instead of listening to independent music and get those popular. It's not fair and music will suffer if you remain jaded to everything that is modern.

  7. black american music? wtithout the micro stereo electrictiy ? without America,no James Brown no American music. have you ever heard of James Brown Africa? No.
so please stop the racial idiocy
